Vicci Martinez Has Been a Busy Bee These Past Few Weeks….

Has anyone been wondering what Vicci has been up to lately? Well she’s one busy bee! Here is a run down of what Vicci has been doing over the past month. We can not wait to see what is in store for her in the up coming months. We will keep you updated and well informed on all things VICCI. We can say that her single “Come Along” featuring Cee Lo Green will be out very soon with her album to follow! I am super stoked and I know that you all are as well. Good things come to those who wait!! I’m pretty sure that Vicci can’t wait to get on the road and meet her amazing fans she had made all over the world!

Most of you already know that Vicci went back home to Tacoma, Wa to play a benefit concert for her long time friend Reed Riley. The event took place at Jazzbones in Tacoma where Vicci got her start as a young musician. Family, friends, and fans were treated some of Vicci’s new music as well as her most loved older tunes. People lined up around the corner of Jazzbones to see her play in her hometown again! Some of our own #ViccisARMY members were also lucky to attend the show!!

Vicci also sat down with Clevver Music for and interview about her new album and single. Vicci talked about her new single called “Come Along” in which she performs with her ‘The Voice’ coach and friend Cee Lo Green. The song is a cover song that was recorded in Europe in the 1990’s and was sung by singer Titiyo. Vicci wanted the song for her album because she believes the lyrics and meaning of the song is so important right now. She also explained that the reason she decided to make this album a self-titled album was because all of her previous CD’s released had names.  Vicci stated that her and her manager felt that this album was a collaboration off all the music shes ever made so it felt right to just name it VICCI. She also told Clevver Music that she hopes she can perform her song “Come Along” with Cee Lo on a upcoming episode of  ‘The Voice’ season 2. I think we are all stoked about this and lets cross our fingers this works out!! Vicci later explains that she considers her new album to be a Pop/Rock up tempo album (we can already tell is has a radio friendly sound!!) . Vicci also performed her single acoustically and we have it here for you to watch.

Last week Vicci also attended the Stars & Strikes is a benefit event. The event was created to be a fun-filled, celebrity spotting evening that raises funds and awareness to support local youth through programs in education, the arts, health and college preparation at “A Place Called Home.” A Place Called Home is a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being; and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their community and the world. Some other stars that attended were Ryan Tedder, Coldplay, and Akon.

Here’s a new interview that was just posted of an interview from Front Row Live with Robert Herrera.

March 15 Vicci also attended the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability Fundraiser with other stars and helped raise over $500,000! The event took place at the new 50,000 square-foot home of Tony Pritzker, co-founder of the equity firm The Pritzker Group and board chair of IoES. UCLA’s IoES was founded in 1997 and conducts research in sustainability, advises businesses and policymakers, and provides undergraduate and graduate academic programs in environmental studies. Other celebrities in attendance were Jared Leto and Own Wilson. Vicci performed at the event. See photo below.
