‘Run Run Run’

(Written by Peter Svensson, Vicci Martinez, Johan Carlson, Chad Wolfinbarger )

This is the road I want to take
This is the choice I want to make
This is the life that I create, yeah, yeah

Is this the start of something new?
Is this my only way to you?
This is the best that I can do, yeah, yeah

Where do we go?
Oh, oh, I want to know
Where do we go?
Oh, oh, I want to know

Why do I run, run, run, run?
Why do I run, run, run, run?
The days go by I can’t deny
I can’t erase your face
Why do I run, run, run, run?

This is the day I have to face
This is the moment to embrace
This is something I can’t replace, yeah, yeah

Where do we go?
Oh, oh, I want to know
Where do we go?
Oh, oh, I want to know

Why do I run, run, run, run?
Why do I run, run, run, run?
The days go by I can’t deny
I can’t erase your face
Why do I run, run, run, run?

From the only home
I’ve ever known
From what I just found
And in circles all around
From the ones I love
And the stars above
To another space
I’m just trying to find my place
Am I right or wrong
Where do I belong
Will I ever stay
Hey, I wanna know
Where do I go

Why do I run?
Why do I run, run, run, run?
Why do I run, run, run, run?
Why do I run, run, run, run?

The days go by I can’t deny
I can’t erase your face
Why do I run, run, run, run?

Vicci’s interpretation of this song:

“This song is about questioning.  I asked myself, when I moved from Tacoma to LA, why am I doing this?  It was a big deal to me, because I’ve never lived anywhere else.  Without thinking, I came to LA, and it felt like I left my old life behind.  I wondered if I was doing the right thing, and if this was what I needed to be doing, which I now believe was a necessary choice and the right thing to do.  I’ve always put my music first, because it is me and it is my passion.  I have run from certain situation, because this is what I need to be doing, I had to be true to myself.  It’s so easy to stay put, but if you don’t follow your passion, you can miss those opportunities.  Live large.”
