“Let Go’

(Written by Vicci Martinez & Tim Pagnotta)

How do I find a way to remember all the ones that Iā€™ve loved
How do I rewind
In a dream, memories come alive, you and I in a dream
Is where I see you

When the angels gave you wings
You were holding onto me
A love, our love
We were learning to let go

How do I find a way to forgive and not forget, I ran away
But you didnā€™t chase me
You were young, we were young, if you could see me all grown up would you be proud
Of who I am now

When the angels gave you wings
You were holding onto me
A love, our love
We were learning to let go

(Bridge)
Life goes by in a blink of an eye
If I wasnā€™t perfect, Iā€™m sorry I tried
You donā€™t have to worry, weā€™re gonna to be fine
Youā€™re learning to let go, now follow the light

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Weā€™re learning to let go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Weā€™re learning to let go
We canā€™t fix what isnā€™t broken, my heart is always open
We canā€™t fix what isnā€™t broken, my heart is always open
My heart is always open
And I, Iā€™ll never let go

Vicci’s interpretation of this song:

“This is a song about my father.Ā  Right when someone dies, there is a lot of sadness, and you can live in it for a long time, some people live there forever.Ā  But there comes a point to let go of that sadness and embrace the fact that Iā€™m living here without my father.Ā Ā  At the same time, you never let go because he is always a part of me.Ā Ā  What I wanted to do was let go of the pain so I could remember the love.Ā  My manager shared her motto in life, something she believes and lives by that has helped her through the tough times.Ā  ā€œLive for them, donā€™t die with them.ā€Ā  For everyone that leaves us, we have a responsibility to live harder and live for them.”

‘TouchĀ That Fire’

(Written by Vicci Martinez, Tim Pagnotta, Jeff Leonard, Rod Cook, Ryan Smith)

Feels like itā€™s gonna rain
The clouds are coming in
Such a beautiful picture

And I wanna fly away
But this time I’m gonna stay
And stop hiding from this illusion

ā€˜Cause I’ve got a lot to say
And it’s hard to find a way
To make anyone listen

You see I feel the need for change
But who am I to delegate
This has to be your decision

ā€˜Cause Iā€™d rather touch the fire than let my heart grow cold
And Iā€™d never runaway from these things I wanna say
Lemme tell you babe, ā€˜cause I want you to know

Touch that fire, yeah
Gimme that fire, yeah
Show me that fire, yeah

And another day goes by
Oh how the time does fly
And now we’re back where we started

But I’m gonna see this through
And heal myself first so I can heal you
Singing songs and trying to make a difference

That make you think about
How your children gonna feel
Knowing all along we had the solution baby

Iā€™d rather touch the fire than let my heart grow cold
And Iā€™d never runaway from these things I wanna say
Let me tell you baby, cause I want you to know

Touch that fire, yeah
Gimme that fire, yeah
Show me that fire, yeah

Whatā€™s it gonna take
To open up your eyes
We canā€™t wait another day
For you to make up your mind
ā€˜Cause itā€™s all about to break
So we got, got, gotta do something
Show me that fire

Now I’m gonna see this through
And heal myself first so I can heal you
Singing songs and trying to make a difference

Iā€™d rather touch the fire than let my heart grow cold
And Iā€™d never runaway from these things I wanna say
Let me tell you baby, cause I want you to know

Touch that fire, yeah
Gimme that fire, yeah
Show me that fire, yeah

And Iā€™d never runaway from these things I wanna say
Let me tell you baby, cause I want you to know
Touch that fire

Vicci’s interpretation of this song:

“I wrote this song at the beginning of the Obama campaign.Ā  It touched a part of me, and reminded me that it is better to go for things you believe in, to dare to be bold.Ā  It can be easier to not risk anything, not put yourself out there, but that isnā€™t living true to your authentic self.Ā  It reminds me to not be scared, and not to let fear run your life.”

‘Little Faith’

(Written by Peter Svensson & Vicci Martinez)

You donĀ“t talk and you donĀ“t give ear
You canĀ“t see anything in here

But IĀ“ll be there beside you

You canĀ“t stay and you cannot go
Do you have a reason for feeling low?

ā€˜Cause IĀ“ll be there beside you
Always there beside you

So, please wonĀ“t you have a little faith in me
IĀ“ll be here and Iā€™ll promise I will never leave
I see you
Believe you
IĀ“ll catch you if you fall
So, please have a little faith in me

You donĀ“t win and you donĀ“t give in
ItĀ“s only fear that you feel within

But IĀ“ll be there beside you

ItĀ“s like a storm on an open sea
YouĀ“re the boat and the sail is me

And IĀ“ll be here beside you
Always here beside you

So, please wonĀ“t you have a little faith in me
IĀ“ll be here and Iā€™ll promise I will never leave
I see you
Believe you
IĀ“ll catch you if you fall
So, please have a little faith in me

Please wonĀ“t you have a little faith in me
IĀ“ll be here and Iā€™ll promise I will never leave
So, please have a little faith in me
IĀ“ll spend my time
To help you find
What you’ve been looking for
So, please have a little faith in me

IĀ“ll be there beside you
Always there beside you

Vicci’s interpretation of this song;

“Little Faith about unconditional friendship.Ā  It is about being there for a friend that is down and out, no matter why.Ā  Whatever the reason might be, it says that Iā€™m here for you, that I will be that friend.”
